Maddie Goldman
Hey there! My name is Maddie Goldman. I grew up in a small town outside of Boston and moved out to Colorado many years ago to attend Colorado College! Since graduating, I have had the pleasure of teaching first grade, second grade, and am now settled in as a fourth grade teacher. I have been teaching at MSES since 2017, and I am not planning on leaving anytime soon. This school district is one of (if not) THE BEST! I joined PHC and the Wellness Team via Mustang Might my first year here and have been constantly inspired by their commitment to promoting both student and staff health and wellness. I think that having healthy minds, healthy bodies, and feeling safe are essential in a school community that fosters deep learning opportunities, so when the privilege to become a Wellness Co-Leader arose, I was thrilled and honored to join!

Barak Ben-Amots
I have spent the last 5 years leading the GALLoP programs at Manitou Springs Middle School, providing the district access to learning at Flying Pig Farm. My passions include sustainable food, nutrition, healthy relationships, and I have channeled that passion into work for PHC since 2019. My days are spent tending to the animals and plants at FPF with the goal of bringing better healthy local food into the school and into the hearts of MSSD14 students..

Madi Stuart
I am proud to be a healthstangs co-leader and the Spanish teacher at MSMS. I am a Manitou native and this is my 5th year teaching at MSMS. I am a wellness co-leader because I want to be a part of creating healthy opportunities for students, staff, and parents to engage in our MSSD community. The wellness team is here to promote the district's goal of educating the whole child and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this mission. Outside of teaching, I love to hike, ski, cook, read, and play music.

Lawrence Housley
Lawrence Housley obtained a BA in History from the University of Cincinnati. During this time, he realized he wanted to be a teacher of History in his future career. Before pursuing a career in classroom education, Lawrence worked as a climbing guide for a local guiding company in Colorado Springs. During Lawrence's time as a guide, his passions for teaching and physical wellness only grew. Since this time, he found his way into the classroom as a Social Studies Teacher. He spends most of his free time in the mountains and hills climbing and trail running. He is thrilled to be able to pass on his love of the outdoors and physical wellness as a Building Wellness Leader for MSHS.
