Resident New Student Enrollment



ImportantYou must complete all steps of the enrollment process to be fully enrolled. Completing the Online Form does not mean you are registered. You must follow-up with the appropriate school registrar and proper documentation must be provided.


Preschool
Preschool is a unique application process. Please see our Preschool page for more information.

Age Requirements

  • Kindergarten: Must be 5 years old by September 1st
  • First Grade: Must be 6 years old by September 1st - Exception for students who do not meet age requirement, but have already attended Kindergarten.

Online New Student Registration
All new student registration is completed online and takes approximately 20 minutes per child.

Once you have completed the online form you will receive an email confirmation with your next steps.

You will need to provide several supporting documents for your enrollment to be completed. Documents may be uploaded in the online registration form or presented in person to the appropriate school.

Documentation of Child’s Birth Date
Please provide one of the following:

  • Registered County Birth Certificate
  • Valid Passport

Proof of Residency
Please provide one of the following:

  • Warranty deed, Deed of Trust, or Bill of Sale on your home showing a closing date within the past 60 days
  • Current El Paso County Property Tax statement.
  • Purchase contract with possession date or closing date not more than 60 days out.
  • Current signed lease or rental agreement not expiring within 60 days.
  • Current utility, phone (not cell) or water bill listing the address and name of parent/guardian registering student.

Immunization Records

  • Required by state law.
  • Official Immunization Record from your child’s physician or clinic is required.
  • If immunizations are against personal beliefs, religious beliefs, or medical reasons, you must sign the statement of exemption form.
  • Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment- Certificate of Immunization Form - https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cdphe/vaccine-exemptions

Proof of Guardianship – if applicable

  • Custody Documentation for parents that are separated or divorced.
    or
  • Power of Attorney showing the legal guardian for students who are not residing with parents.

Completing the Online Form does not mean you are registered. You must follow-up with the appropriate school registrar and provide proper documentation.

The online registration process takes approximately 20 minutes per student to complete. If you have multiple students in the same school or other district schools, you can “snap” basic information to the next student.

For technical assistance completing the online registration, please use the help button in the
top right of each page in the portal. For assistance with how to answer questions in the portal, please contact the appropriate school registrar.
Online registration may be completed from any computer with internet access. Each school has a computer available for registration if you need assistance.
